LUMA AI INTERVIEW

“AI will build you a faster horse. It will never invent you the car.”

When clients ask how we use generative technology at Uncharted, we talk about putting platforms like Luma into the hands of brilliant human talent. For us, it’s about expanding what’s creatively possible.

By testing and visualising concepts early on, we can pitch bolder ideas that might once have been shelved as too risky. That speed to certainty lets a nimble team deliver ambitious work for global brands.

In a recent interview with Luma, our co-founder and CCO, Laura JB, talks to a few core principles which guide our approach:

• Human direction always comes first. AI sits alongside CG/3D animation, traditional illustration, live production and more. The tool changes depending on what the idea needs, but human judgment shapes the final piece.

• Guardrails protect the work. Training project boards on brand guidelines, scripts, and tone keeps the creative consistent, no matter who is working on it.

• Early testing reduces risk. Exploring an idea early gives clients confidence, allowing us to propose braver creative concepts from the start.

• Simplicity keeps us focused. Working within a single shared platform avoids the mess of scattered tools while keeping costs transparent and predictable.

Being global from day one means building thoughtful workflows that give our team space to push boundaries while staying grounded in what works for our clients.
